Is there a recommended space allowance for brain corals?

now now boys play nice.

slappy a thought for you on space around the brains. at one stage i had a plate coral and brain in mytank with a good 2-3 inch space between them was not enough fought like cat and dog tentacles galore eventualy move them about 6 inches apart and stuck a rock between them.

I might have to move my current brain (coral that is) as it seems too close to the shadow on the brace bar.
