hey ben it's straight like a dogs back leg. does it make any difference?
am considering putting led's on my new system a bit further down the line but worry about how many i'm going to need to get the right effect on my tank.

post a pick of how it looks with just those on so we can see the effect.

Nice lights Ben, but I would be careful about them facing out for the photo, if I remember right, Virgin Atlantic approach Heathrow somewhere near to you

interesting project, i am just about to start a similar one using 8k white 3mm led`s as supplimentary lighting, got 100 of the buggers to play with, however as its a rio 400 i have lots of room to play, though my thoughts are to caniblise the center bar and mount the leds in there and the control gear, idea came from a something i saw when a friend used his camera phone to take a pic over my tank, his has 2 leds to enhance the lighting for the pic, £10 for the leds from ebay, lot of 3 mm holes to drill, a 75 watt power supply on the way, interesting that your using the blues though, i have 12 inch cold cathode tubes in the lid which i use to provide a moonlight effect, works well especially as they can be dimmed to provide the light output you want
