Anyone got any hints or tips on the best way to go about this.
I have several pussey types and would like to spread em' around a bit but dont know how.
Some advice on where to cut them and how to stick them in place would be good.
Thx

Hi jerry
The way we do the pussy coral is to cut it where it branches of to another branch not to small as they shrink.
When it comes to fixing it ,we place it between two peices of rock (small peices)and use a elastic band to keep the rock together. We use two peices of rock instead of just useing the elastic band to hold it to a rock as the elastic band used to cut into the coral itself
When we have done this we place the frag in a place with medium to low flow .Leave it for 3 weeks to a month to fix and grow a little and then place the rock on a ledge to grow in its new home .

thx embro
Just me:
How long before you notice some growth from the cutting?.
Have you ever irrepairably damaged the 'mother plant' ?.
What would be the best way to get the frag stuck to the bottom of a barebottomed tank?.

Growth depends on your tank .I would say in your tank no time at all as you a lucky git lol .
The mother plant ,god thats a blast from the past lol ,The mother coral is a hardy one so if the tank is doing well then the coral usually does well.
I would say if you did the frag in the morning ,the mother coral would be looking better by the end of the day .It will sulk for a while but thats normal.
Ok well getting it to stay in one place is the hard thing jerry as your trigger, and flow in your tank is nuts lol
Find a place with medium to low flow and out the way of that mad shrimp loving trigger lol

maybe a piece of 1 1/2" pipe cut a couple of inches long, place over the frag on the bottom of the tank to stop it blowing around.never tried it but it may work.
