Hi all,

This is another rerun of a previous post lost during the move.

Originally I had a small external sump next to my 6' tank crammed in with all my electrics :(

The idea was to seperate the two making it safer :) and increasing the water volumn :)

The old sump:

The old sump moved out:

The two sumps, one with algae the other with rock:

The now safer electrics:

Since then the two sumps have been replaced with the old 6' tank and various other bits added. I'll put some more photos up when I get chance.

Cheers

Kev

Some photos from the current sump area:

The tanks have been replaced by a single 6' x18" x 18" tank. Above it at the far end is a 15gall ro top up tank.

Starting from the right is a 30 gall water change bucket with 50gall per day RO unit, then two dsb buckets on top of each other, in front is 4 gall Kalk mix, squeezed between the tank and the buckets are a Vskim1500, a Grundfoss return pump and a Hailea air pump. Plus the additives!

Hi
Electrics is defo an issue with wet areas. RCD's should be used on all circuits you have connected outside the equipotential zone (house).
If anyone wants any advice or installation work I'm a fully qualified NICEIC supervisor.
cheers
