Hi Guys

Had these pics in a folder on my comp that i thought i would share with you .
Do you all remember the little frag that Tim had from one of the frag night, (Acropora formosa Blue tip).
As most of you know Tims doing an upgrade so had to move all corals on, we had most as they were top class examples of each of the species of acros he had built up over the period of 11 months of sps keeping .
One of my favorites was the Acropora Formosa he had as a frag of about 3" in size with one or two branches small.
After 10 month in his system this is the growth the Acro put on

High food regime and of course light - Tis amazing what SPS can go through tbh i had kh swings temp and one huge salinity swing, sadly its downfall was its undoing as it um fell over and go burnt on some flippin heliopora - Ive no doubt that its babies will grow into large specimens one day and look forward to seeing the pics as they mature...... oh and dont forget to buy a calcium reactor or lots of pots of bio-calcium they suck it up like no mans business.

I will update my tank sometime im just waiting for the algae to go before i show an after and before shot and how i got rid of the bloody stuff ... anyways thats wishful thinking at the moment.

Bens there nothing shameful about admitting i know more than you :o

Here it was after a month in the tank so it already had a headstart on growth.

Great coral tim ,given half a chance i would have kept all the frags as i like the formosa :o .Great idea to keep a record on your algae as this will help others in the future when setting up tanks and get algae .
