Was running this system on me old tank and have nothing but a big thumbs up for it .
The ingredients i used for one mix that lasts ages
5x Sand clams
5x oysters
5x cockles
5x scollop's
5x prawn not the cocktail sort but fresh
one pack frozen baby brine
red algae
green algae
speralina algae 5 tablets
4 teaspoons of fructose sugar
lol and for added mess one tub coral frenzy
I also added 2 types of AA that i got from a sports shop online but forgot the names of them will dig them out and post up
and freeze in ice cube trays.
was feeding between 1/2 to 1 block at each feed
I added salifert coraline amino's 1 to 2 hours before adding the feed after the main light went out to get the sps polyping .
Always turned skimmer off untill the next morning as not to rip the food out .
When feeding like this i would start off slow at 1/2 a block once a week and build up to 2 cubes over the period of a few weeks month as they system seems to build up the it better .
Results were wow ,Montipora growth most of you have seen and the acroporas shot away with top growth .
All in all everything liked it ,sponges in the sump under the rock work ,tube worms in shaded areas everywhere and the pod life was mad.
A few things to keep an eye out for are the Aptasia,s as they do seem to spread twice as quick so a copper band butterfly is a good idea .
And i did read that if the skimmer is not upto the job you can get an explosion of flatworm so remember if you dont have a big skimmer go slow with it
All in all i rate it so much i will be feeding the same in my new system as the colours were great (Rich true colours ) and growth was tops .
I'm also sure that this will be good for the Gorgs and i do want some hanging under ledges in the new system

Sounds great Jas and will certainly mix up a batch when I get a minute or 3. Without trying to be a smart arse. If it was such a plus on your old system, how come Lynds isnt chucking buckets of it into the shop system?
Is there a down side???
Nitrates, phosphates or just a bloody cloudy messy tank for a few hours??
I can see the sens of the slowly slowly approach but is there a long term downside??

Hi Cass
Main reason is the fact that we ship most days and we couldn't add the water to the bags for shipping from a system that has been fed the night before with such a hard feed .
Also we found settled acros were very happy with the feed but some new sps in didn't like the high feed and we think this is down to the fact that they thin out in the bags from our suppliers overseas and when they go into a highly fed tank they pack it on to fast get stressed and can bail out ,This is only a guess though
