Hi All, Come up with an idea which may or may not become a success time will tell on this one
But basically as some of you know we have a Frag Night meet each month at JasonsAquatics where like minded reefers frag and chop up corals for our own tanks.

Now this new idea will be including members of this board that cannot make the long trip down to Cornwall, what we intend on doing on the night of the frag night is too incorporate some of Jason's online customers with out meet .. How? i hear you ask .. well it will be all done online on the night of the frag night jasons has a the internet in the shop so i will liaise with anybody than wants to join in.
Also Jason and lindsays phone number will be on hand aswell during the evening this might help things run smoother.

What we do on the Night -

As you all know jason has a variety of top quality corals that the majority of can be fragged into smaller pieces - The jist of it is we select a coral be it SPS/LPS/SOFT then work out who wants what and divide the original price of the coral to all who have a bit.
So for instance if a SPS costs £40 and 4 people want a piece then it works out at £10 a frag
and somebody gets the base also bargain!!.
The same applies to every other coral also its just a matter of deciding who wants what etc.

On the night i will be posting up whats on offer to frag for everybody that has there name down for it
Thats assuming anybody wants in so to speak bit about that in a minute.
Anybody that partakes will post up on this forum that they would like a frag if available

Who can join in - This is where we have to be careful not to just yet and one without first really
knowing who they are it has to be done I'm afraid.
So people wishing to join in have to be known to Jason, also you have to be serious about buying the frags in the first place, the last thing Jase needs is 100's of leftover frags.

So to start off I'll take the first 5 names and go from there , this might be upped if interest is shown
It will go ahead next Tuesday even if its just one person who wants to join.

Nearer the time ill add more details - also if Ive missed anything out feel free to chip in
peeps, also if you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask here.

Cheers

Good luck to Tony, it's bad enough organising the ones who are actually present on the night, let alone 'virtual' ones. I'll be there anyhow if you need a hand.

Also nobody has to buy anything aswell.

on msn you can hold a chat with like ten plus people at a time all in one box but its live
then you would not have to keep refreshing the board thats was how i was thinking.

Great idea, I'm definitely interested in SPS Frags - I know it's my first post on this board but i've bought Corals from Jasons through UR with the same username, so i'm not unknown.

Hi Everyone,

This is a great idea, I dont have a hugh tank and love most of Jasons zoo's & shrooms, but dont have the room for a selection of big corals really want a few frags and this would give me a chance to get some lovely zoo frags at least. :sign_sorry:

Can I join in?

;)

Result ! .. I better give you a time to sign on so to speak its next tuesday at &. 7.30pm 12th feb
But fragging normally starts at 9 ish ..what i will de before hand is get a list of possible candidates up for the chop and list them up a day before .

As this is new thing you will have to bare with us but it should run smoothly, often in the past there's only two of us here that say want to chop an acan and if the said coral is £80 thats still £40 each
what i will simply do is post up who's up for a quater of an acan colony for £20 depending on who's game.
The same will apply to SPS, you will have to take quick discriptions and decide pretty quick
as photos would be hard to process quickly. although i can try and link the said coral through one of Lindsays pics.

Payment is between you and jason they can be added to the normal folder, or if you wish pay p&p.
All SPS frags will be given a week to settle in before they are shipped also.

Also if we get no takers for a coral down here i can also put it up grabs solely for anybody online.

Any questions fire away ...Yeh gturnball if jason knows you for sure ... or a quick phone call would clear it up ..

Any queries ask away

Hi SPS,

I have had contact with Jason before, I reserved some Zoo's, but they sold on the phone before he noticed my post.

I will give him a call tommorrow just to make sure its ok.

Thanks and hope it works as it's a great idea.

Just a thought but, would posting pictures of the possibly corals for fragging, just so people know whats up for grabs and people could put down there intrest next to a picture and once the guys at the actual meet have had there first choice, the rest could be divided up between people who posted that were intrested in said coral.

Just a thought, not trying to tell you how to run your show

Yeh been mulling over this as we speak .. i can do some very quick pics of likely corals just beforehand ... good idea .. if its something like a red capricornis then usually people know what to expect so they might not have to go up.

When i say frag you wont just get a single 3cm frag .. its colonys like this that normally get shared between 3-5 people so you can see you get alot for 8-12 quid.

Is there many zoo's that get fragged on these nights??

OR

Is it just what you guys fancy for your tanks, so it can vary from meet to meet.
