I never feed the corals.

I chuck in loads of food for the fishes though, about 8 cubes of mysis and 4 cubes of cyclops every day, I also feed large size golden pearls and various flake food. The tank/fish gets about 10-12 feeds a day.

That said, many of the LPS often can be seen eating dired foods and frozen, when it drifts into their grasp.

Coral growth is superb, the amount of micor fauna (brittle starts, various worms, pod swarms etc) is mental.

12 cubes of food a day jesus h christ no wonder you dont add any additional food ... when you say you dont feed the corals i would think they get more than enough from the waste.
When i say waste i mean fish poop and you have alot of anthias which would naturally sh!t over the corals in the wild ... do you have Green chromis aswell.

I only chuck in one block a day atm but dont have that many fish.

Yep I have chromis too, my current stock list:

10 Bartlets
6 Tuka
8 Chromis
2 Perc clowns
1 Helicoris wrasse
1 Red wrasse
1 Mandarin
1 Foxface
1 Yellow tang
1 purple firefish
2 yellow tail damsels
1 Filament flasher wrasse
1 copperband butterfly

36 fish in total. They're all fat too! I'm not a fan of too many large fish, not in small tanks (eg 99% of home aquaria).

By most 'guides' standards, I am well overstocked.

With all that food going in, you should smell my skimmer cup when I clean it

Ah must look great bud .. Gotta get myself a few anthias and chromis , The most striking thing you see over reefs esp SPS colonys is the two above mentioned fish and i bet they contribute loads to a successful reef tank .. Replicate nature and all that .. Will be ordering some soon when the tank can handle them.

As for ''Books'' and fish stock somebody should give these authors a gentle reminder things have changed a tadge sinse 1995.
