I noticed last night a bit of algae on some die-back on a couple of tips of one sps.

I've had this coral for probably over six months, originally came from Jason as some frags from somebody else's tank. They did really well under 250W, but when I added the 400W back in November they stopped/slowed growing. I would say that there has been no visible growth in the last couple of months. Their coloring hasn't changed, they had a lot of blue even under the 250W.

At a guess I'm thinking, maybe a little too much light for them?

Needless to say, so far as I'm aware nothing is up water wise, everything else seems hunky dory. Ignore what you might think is dieback on the milli to the left of the pick, thats a growth tip.

I took the cutters to them this evening and cut back the die back and will see what happens. If I notice anymore then I'll frag them further back and try them lower in the tank.

Any other ideas?

Chris
