Hi guy's

First off thanks to slappy for creating this section for seahorses!
This is my second time keeping seahorses after a break of 6 years. The tank is a 24" wide,22" deep by 18" tall custom built tank.It is filtered by a tetra tec ex 1200 canister filter, deltec mce 300 skimmer and live rock.Lighting is provided by a 24" arcadia over tank luminair with 4 x t5's.Flow is provided by the canister filter through a spraybar at the rear of the tank half way down. The bar has extra and enlarged holes(hi tec stuff i know). The canister return also flows through a tmc v2 600 u v.Stock wise i have two pairs of H.Barbouri, one mandarin, one snake pipefish, one alligator pipefish and a breeding pair of blue line pipefish.I also have a few corals dotted about but it's mainly a macro algae tank(must resist zoo's and lps, aaahhhr!).I am hoping to raise the younge from the seahorses when they start breeding.Feeding wise they get mysis three times a day. This is own caught mysis and not the suff thats on the market right now that seems to be broken up and white in colour? They also get enriched brine shimp from time to time.I will also be experimenting with powdered spirulina that i will coat the mysis in to see if this brings out the yellow orange colours of the seahorses.Anyway thats about it,please ask any questions you may have.Pics to follow. :censored2:

Well today i noticed that one of the females was ripe with eggs.Sure enough she danced with both males to try and off load them but alas the males just arent mature enough yet.The eggs ended up on the sand as the males cant yet expand there pouches enough. The good news is that despite being very younge she still produced 20 to 30 eggs of a very good size. This is good news for the future as the bigger the younge the easyer they are to raise, relativley speaking. With luck i should see a pregnant male within the next few weeks, fingers crossed!
