I have T5's but there are 8 x 39W tubes, 6 white and 2 actinic.

Been wondering about trying a couple of the easier SPS at the top of the tank. What do you guys think?

how deep is the tank?
the top 15" will be fine whatever it is imo judging by some of the SPS tanks i have seen.

It's 22 ins deep (2ins sand 20ins water). The rock 'mountain' rises to within about 6 ins of the top, so it sounds as if it might be worth a try on the 'upper slopes' then. :sign_lol:

I have LPS right down on the sand which are doing well.
