a few minutes ago my duncan was fully open, then started to expel a reddish brown almost algae looking strands from the mouths for about a minute and then closed up. virtually all the heads have done this, is this anything to worry about ?
Thanks
Dave

That's excess photosynthetic algae zooxanthellae. You will notice all lps, mushrooms, zoo's etc will do this from time to time. It's nothing to worry about just the coral doesn't need that much so is off loading some. You will probably notice the heads look a little lighter now.

Just expelling zooxanthellae - just keep an eye on it and ensure its not doing this regulary.
