Blastomussa Frags

Has anybody had any new heads starting to sprout out i havent as yet and was just wondering if anybody else has .. Normally by now i would expect something but as yet not a sausage!

Nope me neither. Colour starting to fade a little on a couple of heads.

no new ones but 2 that were damaged during the fragging have come back

I've got a couple new heads starting.Also a few on the acan.What are you guy's feeding them and do you feed each head? Mine will take whole mysis amongst other things.

Just checked, nothing. I'm not specifically feeding them at all, they just get fed when I feed the rest of the tank, pappone couple of times a week.

Maybe try something a bit more meaty.Once they smell food you will get a good feeding response from this coral and it supprising the size of food they can take.Will try and get a pic next time.

Nearly a month later and no sprouts has anybody else seen growth? .. all i have is a white sponge growing underneath ..

Nope, still just 19 heads, tho I think one looks like it is starting to divide. Other than that they look plump and healthy, the blastos that is :D

4 new little heads, but 2 of the original heads died.

Just fed my blastomussa coral tonight, and the best way i've found to see if there are any new heads sprouting,is when they close up look closely at the base of the heads and you should see new heads sprouting.
i counted at least 30 heads altogether on my frag i got a couple of frag nights ago.
Looks like its doing very well indeed!

had another look while mine were deflated and i have quite a few little heads appearing . like you say simon, they are hard to see with the larger polyps inflated
