I was thinking as some frags, including mine, if zoomed in, can look bigger than they really are, how about standing a plastic ruler next to or near the frag, to help see the growth of the frag?

Just an Idea.

What sort of 'growth' are we looking for? A frag stuck under 250W may just grow long and spindly whereas the same frag under 400W would grow differently. The same will occur when placed under higher 'K'/lower-par lamps. Also of course, different species will grow differently, and of course the age of the frag makes a difference.
