SPS Identification Acropora

If you have an Acropora (SPS) Coral you wish to have id post a picture up in this thread and we will do our best to id it for you, Si (sps hoover) has offered to help out for a bit of fun too which is cool.


Once it has an id the name and picture will be moved into the main SPS id forum and future pictures and observations can be added into the threads also.

I agree and a easy one to id IMO

Tim can you build different catergorys for me i.e. Acropora, Montipora etc I'll start adding threads

I am sure I have some sps pictures around somewhere that I can use

And that one is mine. This is what it looks like under 250w 14k MH in my tank a couple of days after I recieved it. Good to know the name.

also is there a way to make pictures full size straight off rather than having click on them

If you resize them larger they appear bigger on the forum ... the ones in the gallery need to be saved to photobucket then re-posted in here , They are smaller but not thumbnail size.

Simon ive set up Acropora and Montipora for now as these are the biggest familys i can add polli seri
later on.
Any ideas you have dont hesitate to ask ..

Yes to valida

Yes to tort both blue and green

Other one I'll dig out an answer after looked in book I have that one purple with green polyps the first one you not sure off I don't think you can decide because of poor growth pattern
