Hi all,
I am designing an Auto Topup system at the moment & can decide what to do, I have the obvious top up float in the sump return chamber.
I need to decide what to do with the other float switch, I could do a high level in the sump alarm, or when it's triggered cut the power to the Top up pump or put it in the top up tank to cut the power to the pump when the top up is dry.
I just can't decide, what do all think would be the most benefit?

"b" seems to be the best option imo.
the first one is fine if your there to hear the alarm. and the third is fine if you know the sump can take the full amount of top up water , otherwise the sump could overflow before the top up empties
