Got back from a few days away last evening, about 10 minutes before the lights went out. Whilst checking everything had survived I noticed a couple of streams of small micro bubbles eminating from the fire coral which continued until things went dark. I didn't get chance to get a camera on it, it was still packed away. Today the coral doesn't seem any the worse for it despite me trying to kill everything by leaving the RO dripping in all day and dropping the salinty by 5ppt
I have seen fire corals develop a kind of 'skin' which they shed, sometimes this gets some 'gas' inside it an make a small bubble, so I guess it could be connected with this?
