Thought it was about time I posted a few details of my tank, you might have seen these elsewhere.

The tank is a seabray (lxwxd) 72x24x30, the 30" is viewable so tank height with trim is 35", cab is 30" high as well giving overall 65". Can be a challenge to place stuff at the bottom.

Equipment

Return pumps are 2 x Ehiem 1260.
Skimmer - Grotech HEA200.
Flow - TS24 kit, will also be using the 6000 and 6080 that I have in the current tank, along with a couple of MJ1200 which I will hide behind the rock. Surface movement will be from the 2 returns.
Rock - 90kg of live rock
Lighting - Arcadia Series 4 3 x250w 2 x 80w T5
Auto top-up - will be using the D&D one from my current tank
Grotech Tec III peri-pump with the Grotech Tec III 4 channel add on, so 7 channels in total. (3 are being used at the moment for balling lite)
Grotech Zeo reactor

Tank before it was filled

I did by these little blighters to try and remove my bryopsis which by this point was quite bad. You can see behind the goni in the picture above.

These are some of the pieces I bought from Jasons when I visited.

All the above were taken before I had a 28 hour power outage and the tank while away on holiday. Some of the SPS are none to happy about it and stripping, but I am hoping they will come back. Details of the problems are here, hope it is okay to post a link to UR http://www.ultimater...ad.php?t=263356 if thats against the rules please feel free to remove.

Thanks for the comments guys, I do want to give the stuff a chance to grow out. Just room for a couple of blues from Jason, must be time to give him a nudge again!

As for the BTA, it is a bit bigger than it was when it went in the tank. Does remove a lot of room that could be used for othr corals but I really like movement it adds to the tank, just a shame my clowns don't seem to like it.

Just found out the power went off for around 52 hours so really lucky so much seems to have survived at the moment, touch wood!

Thanks Slappy.

Been really busy at work for the past month or so, so not spent as much time on the tank as I would have liked. Will put up some new pictures soon, but finally got my hands on a couple of Chelidonura varians, blue doris or velvet nudi today. Here a video of them doing what they do best while I was acclimatising them. Hopefully they will do well and the flatworms will disappear.

looking good nice choice of fish. Did the shrimps have much of a impact on the bryopsis?

Thanks, do like my fish. Just means I have to be careful what I stock with the majestic around and try and keep on top of my params. Since the last picture I have lost the hawaiian cleaner and added a leopard, peacock and choati wrasse. That means I now have a sailfin, achilles, yellow, majestic, mandarin, carberryi anthias, orchid dottyback and a pair of clowns plus the wrasses.

Don't think the shrimps did anything to be honest. Got rid of the bryopsis with a raise of MAG in the end.

Your majestic looks awesome. Nice tank. I would love a regal or majestic angel one day.

What make of mag did you use as a few people are playing with different types. Also what level did it die at? Shame about the losses

I didn't intentionally raise the mag, that was on my list of things to try once all other options had been exhausted. I accidentally raised it to 1600 (overdoing the balling) pulled the bryopsis out by hand and touch wood it hasn't returned. So for me it seemed to have disappeared with a balanced mix of mag rather then just the sulphate, I used the FM balling salts.

A few updated pictures of the tank residence. Makes me realise that the back needs a good clean, it doesn't actually look that bad when you are in front of but the pictures make it look bad. Mind you, it is a nice lot of coraline for my urchin to munch on.

Cheers - has to be the favorite fish due to the amount of time I have had it.

Thanks - Thats my thoughts, I just like the growth patterns more than anything, you can't really work out what it will do next. The hirsuta was coming along, but my urchin broke it into a few pieces the other day ;) So it is back to being a few frags again. Will post some pictures of the other bits.

Yeah I know, it is one of the jobs I hate, but looking at the earlier pics it does make the tank look better. Looks like some elbow grease is required!
