as per title 'seriatopora caliendrum in a nano?'
what do you think?


since breaking down the old 200 gallon SPS tank i have to admit i dont miss it but as seriatopora was always my number 1 favourite i would like to give it a stab in the nano.
i have upgraded the lights to 96 watts in total so that makes it 4.8 watts per gallon if i've done my sums right.
anyone kept it with that kind of light intensity?
the tank is now 11 months old and conditions are what i should hope they would be....same as my old reef!

I have 5.4 watts per gallon ok i run halibes but my seriatopora grows right at the bottom of the tank and keeps is colour and grows like a weed
Which in a nano could be a problem in your case i think it will soon out grow the tank but of course if you keep fragging it it will be fine.

Imo i think your lighting is enough to keep it healthy and prosperous

it grew like weed in the bottom of my old 30"deep tank and i was fairly sure i'd be ok.
it's the only SPS i miss tbh so i may give it a go as soon as i can get hold of a small frag!

I have lots of green seriatopora frags but they are the green types , Ill gladly pop one in with an order
if you have a order going out , but shame you want caliendrum

thanks for the offer tim but with limited space i want caliendrum specificaly.
it'll be the only sps in the tank also
