I have hundreds of baby perc eggs, 6days old and now you can see their lil tiny silvery/gold eyes through the egg sacks. Sadly they are in my main reef tank and will not survive in there. Any ideas on what to do? Would like to try and raise some. I know i may fail on my first attempt but am hoping in time will be able to do it. :whistling:
thanks becky

raising them takes a lot of time, space and hassle. if you really want to then i suggest you get the book "clownfish by joyce wilkinson" as its the bible for clown breeding .

cheers

It looks like I have some baby clowns in my sump. I've noticed for the past week that there are some small tad pole like creatures that swim very fast.

These are more likely to be tropical mysids jenelia, clownfish larvae typically are quite static, holding their position in a current and feeding continuously. in early stages their reactions seem quite poor (though they can certainly move when you try harvest them LOL)

Becky try www.reef-breeders.co.uk for a bit of info, The guy whos site it is i know and hes putting lots of effort into making it and breeding things!

They are about a day away from hatching and always hatch between one and two hours post lights out if you want to watch this spectacle. Use red light
