ive had a bit of trouble with my boyu lighting. it started buzzing and i thought it was the fans. it turned out to be a ballast. then after swapping the starters to see if they were at fault one of the ballasts has stopped working altogether.
so a quick phone call and ill get it sorted in a few days with a replacement sent down from the suppliers. ( thanks jas )

this is a pic of the inside just for the interest of other boyu 550 owners,
and it showns the grill on top is not removable without undoing a few screws that are hidden under the reflector sheet, which i was curious about.
