Nice one Mark, won't the strength of the Tunze magnet affect the running gear on the SEIO? I just asked because I know how strong those magnets are as I have some myself.

I don't think they will as they make magnets holders for the other models of seio power heads. Also the magnets are designed to be used on the tunze power heads. They just make the same old noise when they start up as they always did. I run my last tank with 3 on magnets and all seemed to work out. But haven't got a flow meter to check?

Just wanted to make sure in case you damaged your seio's.

If anyone is after magnets for SEIO's, these are the other alternatives Posted Image

Did you have to use the heavy duty tunze magnet or would the cheaper one have been up to the job ?

I just used the big ones as the power heads are heavy. Guess you could use the smaller ones as they are designed to use different tunze equipment. They are only rated for different glass thicknesses.
