Hi all
Thought it is time I post my tank, as now few people have asked to see it. :P

It's a 6x2x2 tank which has been running for about 4 months, since I moved over from my old 4ft Rena tank. Underneath contains a sump with a mix of algae, a bucket DSB and a second sump containing more sand and equipment etc. Lights are running 2 x 10k 250W Plusrite lamps, which cost £25 delivered for the pair.

I keep the water clean with a Deltec MCE600 which skims for 12 hours each day and runs ozone for about 4 hours. I do a 10% (75ltr) water change every 7 days.

I'm dosing manually with Bio-Calcium and adding extra Alk' and magnesium when needed. I dose Iodide, Strontium, Molybdenum and a mixed trace mineral supplement every week or so.

Currently stocked with 21 fish and some inverts, corals are mainly SPS with a few LPS, softies and zoa’s. I feed the fish 4 frozen cubes a day and lightly feed the tank/corals every 2-3 days.

The tank still has a long way to go but I’m happy with the progress so far, I'm looking forward to getting rid of the remaining algae so I can feed the corals more. Next thing on my list is some more live rock and a calcium reactor.

Looks nice, plenty of growout space.

Do you have any photos of the sump?

Clean the glass man, what's the matter with you? :P

I haven't cleaned the back of the tank for... umm... six weeks, maybe longer? Been trying to let the cleanup crew eat the algae off it, rather than scrapping it and putting the nutrients back into the water. Long term I'm undecided whether to go dirty or clean. :P

Will take a pic of the underneath for you slappy.

Thanks for the comments.

Hi Joey

Yes I still have the Gold Rim Tang. He had some white spot for a couple of weeks after adding him to my tank, I guess from stress and because he wasn't feeding much to start with. However he has settled in and is feeding really well now, the white spot is cleared up and he's looking very healthy again.

Planning on taking some tank shots this weekend, I will take a few of the tang for you.

Cheers

Some shots of the tank from this evening. I will add a couple more this weekend after I have cleaned the glass properly! :)

Gray, I feed the fish frozen food which I defrost in tank water, pouring off the dirty water and any floating food. I feed the tank 2-3 times a week with a bottled coral food, kent or salifert.

I've been busy with work and only had time to do minimal maintenance on the tank, water change every 1-2 weeks and daily dose of Bio-Calcium. The corals and fish seem to be doing well though with some good sps growth.
