I would go with 400w Halide Lighting.Electronic ballast are better than magnetic These would be ideal for sps and a deep tank. I have tried 150w and 250w but ended up with 400w. The Lumenarc reflector is good but its not the best looking thing in the world. Also along side i would run T5s blues this will give you good colours and spectrum as well as night time viewing. Bulbs are personal preference really. I use reeflux 10k but they tend to dull after 6month. XM are meant to be good and reliable with high par readings. But some like 12k or 20k. Its up to you really personal preference :D

I got a 400w Coralvue electronic ballast (cheaper to run than magnetic ones), £70 used for 4 months, has a 2 year warranty.

No bulbs though as TrevC has his name on them.

Reeflux dimming after 6 month, not to sure why as we run them and have to say top notch lamp. We have run BLV Radium arcadia coralview and a few others on test .We find the reeflux up there with all and IMO better ,the reason we have stuck with them.

I think when it comes to lighting all will have there own thoughts on whats the best Lamp and whats not such a good Lamp .

The Lumenarc reflector is a top class bit of kit and myself to date wouldn't run anything other than LOL but hey i would say that mark as we sell them lol
