Looks pretty well grown out!

Question....I've seen quite a few similarly grown out tanks and ont thing they seem to have mastered or not suffering with is shading of corals at the bottom, maybe it's just deceptive, but there seem to be a lot of corals, very shaded with no loss of color or anything. How do they do it?

I think this tank is run on pappone. It's in the pappone link on reef central. Might be to do with food or might be to do with elevated chemistry? Or could be cheaper electric and more lighting than we run?
