Hi all

Was looking to get a new metal halide unit. Thinking of going to go for the Giesemann infiniti, with twin 250w halides and 4 x 54w T5s. Came across one of the Blau units, that also had the twin 250 halides and 4 x 54w T5s, and was around £300 cheaper. Has anyone had any experience with the Blau units?

cheers
Brian

I havent heard of them but I have a Silver Sun twin 250w with twinT5's and 3 led clusters for moonlight, got the whole unit shipped from Germany for under £200. Cracking looking piece of kit and cheap as chips, bombproof even!
I suggest a change of plan... Let the wookie win

Someone else has mentioned the silver sun, they bought it off ebay for £180. Sounds a huge bargain. How long have you been running yours for Bobba?

I have had Giesemann lights and I was very happy with them. But depends on what you want to keep really. I now run 3x 400w lumenarc's as I mainly plan on keeping SPS. But they did fall off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, not everyones cup of tea.

I do agree that Lumenarc's are not the best looking light pendent in the world but if you want performance then you got to put-up with it because they are with out doubt the best on the market IMO. :wallbash:

I was debating whether to go with Lumenarcs, as I was going for a mainly sps tank. But after seeing them, my other half gave me the look, and as seeing as she is going to be buying me the lighting as a present,I had to give in. B)
