hello well i thought i would put my tank on this site ,
its been running now since september 08 since moving to a new home and finally getting a chance for a more permanent setup ,
the tank is 43x24x27 with a 20x15x18 sump, corner left weir with twin 40mm outlets and 1 25mm return , also running the durso stand pipe which considerbly qiutened the whole system,
running the simple live rock , cheato sump. deltec po4 reactor and deltec apf600 skimmer , also running a vecton 25 uv, dosing is the basic 3 berlin style ,
calcium chloride ,sodium bicarb and small amounts of fauna marin mineral salt which deals with mineral addition and keeps the magnesium in check, i use the tec111 grotech pump and 3 . 2 litre custom made acrylic tubes , i have to agitate the solutions with an air stone to help with keeping them mixed,
there about 60 kg of figi live rock sat on legged egg crate , flow is done by a vortech mp40 and 2 6055 tunze on a 7095 controller ,
lighting is a 6x 54watt fauna marin ultra solaris t5 unit and a 4x 39watt deltec t5 unit , the tubes are a mixture of deltec and koraliin - zucht ,
here is some picture and i will update soon ,Full tank shot:Posted Image

It's a code that links to a photobucket account. i don't think you personally can access his photo's, I may be wrong tho

I can move the other pics over if you like by editing his post and copying the codes

If you're going to post pics of your own it's worth setting up a photobucket account yourself

I used my Nikon D80, with two lenses; 18-70mm Nikon lense and a Tamron 90mm macro.

The reason i asked if pics were taken on your camera was because they are good especially the colours ,blues and purples which are two colours that slrs struggle with ,great pics Tony.Do you white balance the canon with a grey card on the custom white balance setting ?.No expert on photography but if i can help i will be happy to.The things i do to the camera are to always custom white balance ,manual focus ,turn off flash ,use exposure compensator ,always use a tripod with the ISO on 400 with a f number of around 22 on still shots. The other thing is i use the eos 400d so some of the settings on your canon may be a little different.

Not a patch on your amazing photos Linsay ;)

As for mine, I can't take any credit for them mate I shoot in full auto always :blz: (when I play with f no.s & ISOs my pictures don't look as good, so I just leave it for the camera to sort out). The only time I have any input besides 'pressing the button' is when I'm taking a macro and I will focus it myself.

I'd love to help or add to the settings advice above from Lindsay but I have very little knowledge when it comes to photography! lol!
