Tank is now full of water, thanks to Lindsay.

Just pressure testing the weir tonight and will pull out all the rock tomorrow to aquascape.

Hopefully by Wednesday all the stock can be shifted over then the sump 'n' stuff can start.

By weekend I can start on the new bar area where the old tank used to be.

Thanks Martyn, not sure what happened on last thread, wiped the computer in case, I think I've may had a keystroke logger on it, as Paypal has had problems which they are dealing with at the moment, all passwords changed as a safeguard now.

Not taking anymore photos as yet as photos of water looks boring as everyone knows what a tank full of water looks like. :good:

Slowly but surely.

I'll pick up my frags when the system is ready, I had frags from November's frag night which could have grown into colonies by now in your system :good:

Building the rock structure, after 1.5 hours of trying to aquascape, I've had enough and just plonked them in.

Corals and fish are moving over tonight.

Posted Image

Drilled a 12mm hole through the rock and put in a rod, then milluput together in the tank. this forms the central structure with approx 4 inch gap at the back to allow for flow around and through the rock.

Posted Image
Drilled 2 additional 12mm holes through the base of this rock to allow flow through it to prevent stagnant water building up inside it. This has a 10mm hold going through one of the holes connected to a small pump which will be on a timer to come on once a week for a couple of hours.

All rock plonked in and around the central structure. Rock is approx 14 inches at the highest point.

UPDATE:

Refugium and cryptic zone connected and plumbed in.

One of a dozen 4"+ bristleworms I found from the old sump have also been dropped into the new refugium along with some old substrate to seed the new refugium. Approximately 20 Dove snails also chucked in for good measure.

Cryptic zone glass has been painted black on 3 sides and black removeable acrylic panel has been put on the front panel.

Full tank shot after aquascaping, another 15kg of rock yet to be jet washed to go in yet.

Sump has been placed into position, just waiting on silicone to dry off on the probe holders and float switches before filling with salt water.

The cling film on the front of the tank is to prevent plaster landing on the glass as the room is being skimmed at the moment.

There won't be any updates for a short while as I'm working on a storage rack in the garage for the Kayaks which have arrived from New Zealand.

Thanks chaps and thanks Simon for the frags.

It's been ages since the tank saw any SPS so glad it was worth the wait in the end. Several months with nothing to look at but bare glass was doing my head in.

The issue I have at the moment is heat loss as the garage isn't fully insulated as yet. So looks like more Celotex insulation, wrapped around the tank for the time being.

Hi Dave

Probably not on fish, at least not yet.

Coral wise, I think I can only squeeze 3 or 4 more corals in there as it's looking packed already (want them to grow out).

Definate on the want list will be a Nana frag and some Millepora's, so if anyone local has any? :)
