Hi All,
Just ordered myself a new moonlight system for my tank !!!!
this is what ive ordered:
http://www.tryka.co....ripModuleK2.htm - more expensive than the TMC aquathing, but hopefully will be worth it
obviousley ive ordered it with blue led's only NOT the colour changing RGB type that is shown in the picture, I had the RGB strip before which was OK for the blue's but the red's and greens where a waste of time, also the strip wasnt IP rated so it lasted about two months before the salt eat the thing to pieces (i did drop it in the tank a couple of times) !!!
The strip comprises of 12 x Blue K2 Luxeon LED's, driving them at 350ma so in theory will end up with 12watts with a 20% increase of light due to the K2's
looking forward to trying it, the results using the RGB strip with just the blue was amazing, the colours where sooooo vibrant and that was just from 4 x LED's so 12 x K2 Blue LED's should be mind blowing !!
Will update this post with some pic's soon as its installed and running !

well bit late in putting up the pics but heres the comparison
Before - 2 x T5 Geisman White - 2 x T5 Actinic Pure - All Lights ON in photos

After - 2 x T5 Geisman White - 2 x T5 Actinic Pure - 1 x Tryka Strip Module 400 IP67 - ALL Lights ON in photos

Really pleased with the results, only driving the leds half power at the minute (350ma) waiting for a new driver (700ma) which in theory should be twice as bright !!
When using the strip on its own as moonlight it looks mind blowing !! just cant work out the best way to take pics as it just comes out as a blue blur, will camera and hopefully post some pics at some point.

Two days back I glanced in an auto shop and saw here such illuminating from beneath on light-emitting diodes. They cost not expensive and ready to the use, it is only necessary it was to solder the power module from a charge device. on 12 V. 32 light-emitting diodes are in an impermeable plastic tube long 400 mm see Light well, I am satisfied.

Today put him on the freshwater 210 l aquarium for a test. Here, that turned out. Now he can it will be be put on a marine aquarium
