Just thought I'd share my current lil system with everybody.

Basic outline of setup (and current equipment):
- Tank is Orca 450 (rear chambers modified)
- Tunze 9002 nano skimmer
- 5kgs live rock total
- ZEOvit basic 4 (ZEOstones run passively in bag)
- Fluval 104 (main circulation/contains LR rubble)
- MP20 (reefcrest mode @ 50%)
- GHL Profilux Plus II (controls ATO, moonlight, heating, cooling via fans, measures PH - soon conductivity)
- 150w Radium 20K in OceanLight pendant with Icecap electronic ballast

Here some photos of the tanks progression:

Tank has reached it's cycle (KZ 14 day cycle method) hence the last shots of corals being added

Hi Ben,

Evaparation seems fairly fine at the moment, not too bad actually. Haven't worked how much I'm topping up each day just yet, but will keep an eye on it. Not concerned, as I've always got 10litres of RO on hand at any one time, otherwise the Profilux just does it's thing.

Thanks for the kind words on the lighting - as with the lighting, most people in the hobby deemed my flow and lighting options as overkill, but SPS need the light & flow regardless of size of tank, the watt per gallon scenerio is really a bad call IMHO. As for heat, my lighting runs in the evenings and I only see a .8C rise in temp with the halide on - I've got the fans to start up as soon as the temp. goes higher than required and it normally brings everything back inline within 20 minutes. Overall, my temp as been incredibly stable, ranging from 26.6min - 27.4max degrees C.

I do have an IceProbe chiller as backup, but can't be bothered to install it in the Fluval at the moment - too interested in the frags now, ha ha..

Here's a bunch of new photos I took this evening (pls excuse the algae... stupid substrate introduced unwanted PO4 into the system - slowly removing it with each water change).

Here are a few new pictures taken a few hours ago. Only a few new additions in terms of corals (some acros, green histrix and some new 'super' zoas:D)
Parameter wise, everything is inline, but still sitting on 5ppm nitrate - still need to measure PO4, hope to kit a test this week along with other supplies.

Enough of the rambling, here some new photos:
1st up, the 'super' zoas -

(Hoping to watch these new additions colour up:thumbup:)

And a quick full tank pic:

(I am slowly removing the substrate... and swopping all LPS corals for SPS -> get in touch if you got something to trade)

Hi Ben,

Yip, I've got some bryposis algae in my tank:( Got two routes to consider, either upping my Mg for a few weeks or trying Algae X. It's easy to remove from the back of the tank, but got a few lil patches on the LR. Still deciding. Will post details as soon as I make my mind up.

How much flow have you got in your tank Curvball, that power head looks massive for a nano :)

Some updated pics with new additions :) Still needing to get new RO/DI filters, also waiting on some Start2 - only dosing AA, bak and food7 (all 1 drop/wk). Light was switched to 14K IceCap 150w. Just giving it a go. (have adjusted my images for a more true reflection).
