Hi Gregg.

Great to have you over here. :welcome:

Any more info you can give us, especially interested in the kit you use over there, skimmers etc.

some info on the old system would be good as well as the new one, reasons for upgrade etc..

regards

Simon.
Regards

Thank you all for the welcome. The old tank is 75 gl with a 30 gl sump and seperate 25gl fishless refugium. I run 2 250 se pheonix 14k, an asm g2 skimmer, Geo calcium reactor, and 2 tlf reactors with rowaphos and carbon. I have an extremely light bioload, 1 borbonius anthias, 1 potters angel, 1 tomini tang, and a pair of fals percs.

The new system is an Oceanic 120 gl tech w/ starfire front, I-tech 200 cone skimmer, same lighting and calcium reactor. I am runniing a seperate 30gl fuge and a 45 gallon sump. I really wanted to make this new system as effecient as possible so I am runnining all of my equipment besides the skimmer off of my return pump (snapper reeflo). I plan to have a heavier bioload with the larger tank and add an inch or two of sand. I plan to add a foxface and a couple of tangs. The reason I want ot go with sand this time around is I have a pistol shrimp which I have had for three years, he currently resides in my fuge with a dsb. It was the first animal I purchased in this hobby so it is sentimental. I just finished plumbing and plan to finish it this weekend. I will post more pics this week, Thanks again for the welcome.

Welcome to the forum Greggnyce and thanks for posting your tank up for us to see .

I to agree its always good to see how tanks over the pond are run as it gives us all a lot of ideas when we tweak or setup our own systems .

Any updates will be great to see to as I'm looking for ideas at the moment myself

Welcome to I/R

yours
