tds readings

hi
i have recently installed a new ro system, but i dont understand the varied tds readings i`m getting.

basically they are 0ppm when just piped through fresh , but.... i made 40ltrs up and put 20 of it into a container without salt, but i have just checked it after it being left in there for a couple of days and now 628ppm, does that sound right ??
out of interest i checked the other 20 which is salted now and that is 6024ppm.

i`m confused :wacko:

Could well be impurities leeching out of the container into the water
I suggest a change of plan... Let the wookie win
