It's been far too quiet for far too long in my house!

The new sump arrived today :burp:
Made to measure 48x18x17.5.
Just got to put baffles in and top up with equipment.
And drill tank, plumb in return.....etc.

Notice the sponge is still surviving..........
:censored2:  :wOOt2:

Been doing a bit of glass glueing....

The Benthic/Cryptic zone will be painted out to keep light down to a minimum.

This is based on the very first sump I had.

going to add brace bars across the DSB section just to be sure!

Top up holds around 30 litres, so here's hoping I only have to top it up at weekends.

All sponges have now been returned to their natural habitat, and I would like to point out that none were hurt during the build of this sump :D

With so many baffles on there, I don't think you'll need brace bars at all. They just block out light over the DSB section.

Looks like a well thought out sump, I like the idea of the cryptic zone being build in

Only the two large baffles go all the way across.
Shouldn't have any effect on DSB.

It's virtually the same as the one Jas built on my first set up, only added the "Top Up" section.
All credit to the "Ginger One" :D

Yes Ben, peri pump linked to a System 2000 auto top up. Same as last one.
Seemed to work well so will leave it the same.

Going to run the sump for a week or two while I work out what to do with my rockwork.
All my old rock is out in the garden having had a thorough jet wash.

Think it could do with another 25 litres......
