After many disasters and hard learned lessons :D the Tank was stripped down cleaned and moved into the dining room. Most of my coral stock (that survived) was moved on leaving me only the fish and Clean up crew.

I managed to save 60 percent of the water and the substrate so it should seed the new system well.

I have completely changed the sump layout and invested in some better equipment :thanks: (lesson learned - False economy!!!!!! dont do it). I will get photos to the forum as soon as i am happy with the rock work. I will be having a central wall instead of two pillars. Yes that was pleasing to the eye but caused a few snags with water flow and dead spots.

The intended contents will be a mixture of SPS, LPS and Softies. The fish i havent decided on yet but that will come with time.

Will post again in a few days.

R.I.P Rocky Reef Mk I :rip:

Good luck with the new build.. I learnt the false economy lesson too, its a real good feeling when you buy something quality and see how much better it really is :D
I suggest a change of plan... Let the wookie win

Ben, I still have the Yellow Tang, Pair of Cinnamons, Pyjama Wrasse and Engineer Goby.

The future list im not sure of yet due to the sparse choice i have up here. I do however like your shoal of yellow tails, but dont they Quibble a lot?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Nice and open Rocky, planning on anything on the sand?
A clam or two perhaps?

Going to have one in mine this time.

Yellow tails are ok, but quite territorial.
They will take up residence in a coral or colony and defend it agressively.
As long as you have plenty of features in the tank you'll be fine.
There aren't many small damsels that aren't agressive.
Highly colourful and active though.

Would they take it out on the other species or is it just within the damsel Fraternity????

I have always wanted a shoal, like you say ben they look great darting around.

I was thinking about a Clam Trev but getting hold of one up here may be slightly difficult.

Fish are all settled and feeding well and the first bunch of frags is due middle July from the last Frag night, cant wait to get some life back into the tank.

will keep updating with pics as and when.

cheers guys. :)
