well hi i am karl and live in st columb major, cornwall just outside newquay

spent a bit of time this afternoon with jason and he has gave me a few ideas which i wasnt aware of and thanx to tony for sorting a skimmer (think it was tony)

well this is my first encounter with marine fish and i have to admit it does seem daunting at first and alot to think about

but after keeping fresh water fish on and off for the last few years have decided to try my hand at the salty side, who know i just might like it lol

well i am in the middle setting up a 70l tank as my first tank

i do currently have a 4ft cichlid tank

well have just filled the tank with tap water to check that all is working fine and it is (but it seems i dont have alot of surface agitation)

any way howdy all and hope i dont become a dead weight lol

if i get the bug properly i can have upto 3ft in the fireplace and use the current tank as a sump as the frame was made so it would fit inside

also have been offered a 6ft tank but the 4ft is in the way if i was ever to take up the offer
