Nothing seems to bad after your little water leak. How are your nitrates? I won't comment on the Tangs since I have an orange shoulder in an 80 litre frag tank, but they are messy fish and if you are feeding your sun coral then that can also lead to a lot of excess waste. Probably the best improvement you could do would be to sump it with cheato and a dsb and then re-evaluate the performance of your skimmer.

If you point a powerhead at the rock work, how much crap comes out? This will all lead to excess nutrients, depending on how your rockwork is built up it might be worth trying to open it up a bit and even sticking an old seio down the back to use as a flush.

Hi Chris,

My nitrates are still running around 40, but does seem to be coming down a little .( trying sugar treatment )
The rock work in my tank is quite open as when i built it up i made a box cave out of
egg crate which you can just see in the first picture i have put on forum.

I will try flushing the rock work with a small power head and let you now what happens, also will try
what you suggest with putting a small power head behind the rock work.

Thanks for the ideas will let you now.

Cheers ian. :) :)
