For the last couple of months, we often hear a noise from the tank, only in the evenings when the blues are on and when one or more of the Regal tangs tuck themselves away behind the rocks for the night, a kind of short grunting sound. I know some fish vocalize but have never read or heard of this in relation to tangs.

If Dorry is grunting at you maybe stop playing blues in the evenings and try some hard dance music instead? Or Jazz....niiiiiiice.........

Yes chris, mine did the same ocassionaly.

I think they used to take it in turns to tell bedtime stories :blz:

They definately did it when I put my hand in the tank :D

Cheers

Not sure chriss,si said that our damsels make a chirping noise which i have never noticed because of all the background noise in the room.

Always amazes me on a reef how you hear it coming a long time before you see it
