Asked this on the Zeovit forum and Bob reckons to use K strong as its safer to bring up the K levels, Now given i cant find out any UK dealers that sell it how exactly are we in the UK bringing up our levels of K, If his advice is to be taken all the way then arent those that add K though other means wrong, If anybody knows of a UK dealer that sells K strong can you give me a link please.
Not trying to scaremonger, But id like opinions from those that have had lower levels of K .. and how you have brought them up using K balance!

I looked at this too and found that the strong was best to raise levels and the standard one was recommended to use as a maintainance dose.Maybe it would take a little longer to raise it with the standard k balance but i think its the same thing just not as potent.

I still dont understand potassium!

I understand it from a trace element point of view it makes alot of sense that some corals use it and colour up and some dont need it.
Its the same in the plant kingdom certain plants use more K than others, Its a key ingredient in colour and for health.

Regards to whether or not one coral would suffer because of the extra dosing i would say no as plants natually intake what they need and maybe corals do aswell, To kill a plant through excessive trace elements takes an awful lot ,miles over the reccomended dose, I would think its the same with corals.

Its bugging me tho why nobody sells K strong when the men in the know reccomend using it over K- balance

Its difficult to find info on potassium except that which is anecdotal, essentially because 'zoevits says so' One potential positive i can find for both fish and corals is that it increases water uptake which could help prevent dehydration at higher salinities or if tissue is damaged. Ive also found some other info that could link potassium deficiency with lack of larval settling in various marine organisms. It is also used in numerous organic processes across the animal kingdom (thats as far as that one goes yet)

I use Pottasium chloride. Much much cheaper.
