Hi guys well my names liam im originaly from england but living in ireland now,im on here really just to learn as much as i can and wreck all your heads with a million questions hahahaha ;) ive kept tropical setups before and always wanted to get into marines, and now ive aquired a 200ltr tank with an external filter and heater and was just wondering if anybody could suggest the best way i should set the tank up? im looking to start off with liverock and fish and realise i need a skimmer and powerheds but what else would i need? Im also curious to know your thoughts on that Organic aqua you can buy to mature your tank? is it best to mature your tank without all them chemicals? eventuall id like to have a nice reef setup but im nowhere near that at the moment and want to take things slow (rather than messing things up) I know im a complete newbie :cool3: but any help would be greatly appreciated and i really do just want to give the fish i get the best poss lifei can,oh im also a very keenherptile keeper,i have 4 common boa constrictors,2 burmese pythons,2 hogg island boas,2 emperior scorpions,1 black and white tegu,1 red tegu,3 red ear sliders, and a collection of breeding mice and rats to feed them all :D

As i said any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks,
liam.
:)

Welcome to IR ;)

You've given yourself the best advice take it slowly

If you haven't yet set up the tank I would seriously look at getting it drilled so you can have a sump for keeping most equipment out of the display.

If your thinking reef setup in the long run think carefully what fish you start with as some are not reef safe

Oh, also get some decent test kits most of us use salifert.
be good to see some photo's when you start :cool3:

I'm sure others will give more advice, we were all newbies once so ask as much as you want
