Found a decent read on Manhatten about the colours ...

http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum/advanc...it-pastels.html

Im tempted myself to get the unit but dont think it would fit.

''In short, Zeovit does not cause pale colors. Those colors are an artifact of photography and are a misrepresentation of Spur2 dosing.''

Is it eithical to mildly poison zooxanthellae (and thus corals) in the interest of aesthetics?

Im not really bothered, like im not bothered by glofish etc etc, it just raises a few eyebrows when i say that. You need to be very aware of what you are dosing and exactly how potent it is, and make damn well sure that you have a damn good copper test kit! (not aimed at you Tim, just a warning to others) DO NOT rely on manufacturer dosing. rely on your corals and your test kit to tell you whats afoot

I dont think its ethical nothing really is when you interfere with something GM crops for example, But the zeospur is really a choice product and the majority of ZEOvit users arent looking for this product, They simply want an efficient means of exporting no4 no3 down to mangeable levels

And totally agree the eye is the best test kit regarding whats really going on in the tank, Its just with the ZEOvit method is has to be that much wider eyed
