Hello

A question for Tommo unless anyone else can help.

My Trigger losses weight very very quickly and rarely puts weight on even after heavy feeding. After reading some posts it seems like worms could be the problem. What can I worm him with and where can I get some?

Cheers

Its either internal worms or dubious sourcing,

Id recommend giving him a double whack of kusuri discus wormer, and if this doesnt work, assume he is cyanide caught. Picassos are massively subject to this problem as a result of their origin. do you know which wholesaler or consolidator it came from?

Thanks Tom.
He's from TMC. I'm not overly concerned about cynide because he will put weight on just not for long and I usually find cyanide fish have lumpy stomachs (just an observation).

How do you dose the discus stuff? do u just add it with there food or is it more complicated than that?

Cheers

Lumpy stomachs means heavy on worms over m8, cyanided fish just lose weight around the edges and shoulders. but retain a normal rounded stomach.

its from TMC so it wont be mis treated, I would look to something like cestodes or acanthocephalans being the cause of the weight loss. Kusuri fluke M all the way!
