Hi there,
This is my first post since joining a couple weeks ago. My tanks been set up now for 8 months. Its a 110 litre 3ft tank with 150w 14k metal halide and 2x36w t5 blue's plus blue led moonlights all on timers.
Thought i'd share some pics of my tank which i've built under mt stairs (could only put one pic on as need to reduce the file space of the others as they are way too big!).
Got some issues at the mo with some of my zoo's and my tubipora havin not come out properly for a week and I reckon my montipora digitata is dying as its colour has bleached out - im gutted as it had shown good growth in the 8 months i've had it!
Did have an issue with a small rock slide a week ago and took me over 3 hours sorting out the aquascape to look good again and obviously water was not looking too healthy after that! Did a water change that night though and all the fish and most of the other corals are fine but this could maybe be the cause?

Water parameters
PH - 8.2
SG - 1.026
Temp - 25-28
Calcium - 430
Magnesium - 1325
Alkalinity - 8.4
Phosphate - 0
Nitrate - less than 10
Nitrite - 0

Water parameters all seem good though and within correct parameters? Any suggestions?
Cheers Shane

welcome to the site. nice tv

the rock slide may have upset the water in a small way, but i would also check the zoas for pests like piders and nudibranchs.

might be worth getting your water checked at the lfs for a second opinion

Thanks guys will try to get some pics uploaded soon. Think I might take my water to my lfs to see if there is anything wrong which I'm not testing for maybe!

Hello,
My turburina closes up occasionally for a week or so then fully opens up. Usually happens after a change so yours might be settling down after the slide.

Your temperature says 25 - 28, Is that a daily movement?

Perhaps that is what it is then. Have changed the location of the Zoa's and the Tubipora a few days ago so the Zoa's has less flow and the Tubipora a bit more. Will see how affects them! I only use Salifert test kits as recommended by my lfs and many other people I know. Re the temp, it does tend to fluctuate a couple of degrees usually from 25 to 27 after the halides have been on for some hours but occasionally it has risen to 28 but this is rare. When noticing this I started leaving the door to the fish tank room under the stairs open and that seems to help with keeping the temp more stable.
Still cannot upload any more photos as I dont have a good enough photoshop on my computer to reduced the size down enough!

Most of us use photobucket for uploading pic's, makes things a lot easier

Seen this tank tonight, what a nice little set up. I like what you have done with the space that you have got there, must be hard with such a small tank. When you do your up grade lets hope its as good as this. Well done mate and thanks for the skimmer.

Cheers
Joey

Just noted the other comment regarding using photbucket so will try to get some photos uploaded tomorrow for everyone to see whether on this thread or a new one :)
