About 5 weeks ago I bought a Scarlett Hawk.

I have been eyeing them up for sometime but for the first time in ages I came across one that was a really bright red rather than faded so in the tank he went.

I didn't see him again until about a week ago when I found him in the weir, the weir is about 4" by 3" and runs from the surface to the bottom of the tank.

So, time was spent blocking off the drain so that the weir would flood and he could swim out, which he did.

Next morning. Back in weir, out he comes, that evening, back in weir.

My weir has egg crate sitting ontop of it to stop fish going in with bits popped out so that the water can flow easier. I have recut eggcrate about 5 times now

I have been getting the little lad out of the weir up to 5 times a day.

Yesterday I put filter foam on the top of the weir, about 1/4 inch smaller than the top of the weir to allow water flow and to prevent the foam blocking with flake food then sat and watched.

The fish swam up to the foam and then pyhsically shoved against it until he dropped into the weir with a plop. A deliberate act..

Hence... Scarlett Hawk = STUPID :rock3:
I suggest a change of plan... Let the wookie win

After reading this thread I thought I'd buy one. I didn't see one until now. One was returned from someone else's tank. He was very thin but thought he would be fine. So I bought him.
I put himin the tank and went out. I got home and I couldn't find him. Guess where I found him...............
He's still there.
