Hi all

I have a rescued longhorn cowfish in my tank and it's been in there for about 5 days. Apart from the first day he was put in there I have not seen him. There is a lot of rock in my tank so many hiding places. How likely is it that he is just hiding?

In case he is still alive I put in a small amount of brineshrimp and a bit of flake every other day (he is the only fish in there at the moment).

Thanks
pete

Pulled some rock out and found the fish. Unfortunately he was dead.

Will be waiting for about 3 weeks til I get more fish.

That's a shame really.

Seeing as your tank has only been running for a few days from 28th October and that the Longhorn Cowfish was put in approx 5 days ago which means that your tank was only 3 to 4 days old, it's too soon to introduce a fish into a new tank if you're using tap water and salt mix or any fresh salt mix, did you check for ammonia, nitrite etc before introducing the fish?
