Hirsuta's seem to grow in completely different patterns depending on the flow in your tank, lets see some pics of the forms yours have taken.

I'll start, this is one of mine.

Mine is growing quite quickly, have a few pieces in the tank and the growth is pretty much the same.

Come on, some pictures of yours.

Looks good. I have mounted a frag of mine flat onto a piece of rock to see how it grows, would love it to branch rather than table/plate!

Maybe they are not identical species. Maybe we need to do a frag swap to find out.

Mine was from Clayton and is pictured on his website as branching. Anyway that sounds like a fine idea. I have some of Claytons tubes and packing, could send you a frag in that and then you could send one back in the same packing.

Let me know if your up for that and we can arrange it for the New Year, don't trust the Christmas post.

Well M8, mine also came from the same place. How strange is that. I'm still up for a swap though. It might be interesting to see just what happens. At least you will be starting off with branches this time.

Give me a nudge after Xmas and we will sort something out. Seeing as Lindsey is taking such an interest, I might persuade him to include my frag in any shipment you are due from frag night. Just dont send your frag to Lindsey, or it will end up in two pieces. ;)

If it plates, i'm sure I can sort him out with a bit in the future.

That is strange, flow or lightning then I guess makes it plate in mine. I will take a pic of the other pieces I have growing, one is really quite flat.

Don't make me buy anything at frag night - SWMBO will kill me (mind you, she is out tonight so I might make it :D )

As for Lindsay getting a bit, if he really wants some to try I am sure I can find another frag and could send them out together.

Will come back to this early Jan.
