Hi gang. I have noticed that a few discoma mushrooms are growing amongst the base of a large Seriatopora Hystrix and when fully expanded are touching the Hystrix, everything seems fine at the moment, but was wondering if this could become a problem, especially for the Hystrix? I can't get to the mushrooms without cutting quite a bit of the Hystrix back.
cheers Brian

The mushrooms should only kill what they touch, hysterix are pretty lame at hiting back in coral warfares, But will die a little and grow from the point of demise.
Let nature take its course and let em work it out ...
If you wish to kill the mushrooms use a large dose of kalkwasser right into the mouth ... that'll sort them out

Cheers Tim. Think I'll leave them alone and see how they get on. Also, I thought Hysterix was supposed to be an agressive coral?
