welcome to the forum. have a you bought any equipment already?
if you do a google search for "Berlin method" then you can find a lot of info on one of the simplest and cheapest way to set up a reef.
as long as you follow a few basic rules then a system doesnt have to be complicated.
it also depends on what you goal is with regards to what fish or corals you want to keep. try and think about what livestock you want, and then put up a list, so we can advise.

Hi there m8 ,
If you give me a call on 07756195118 i will run you through what your need and why your need it.
Its not as complicated as it all seems but its harder to explain via text on a forum, a simple chat on the phone will shed some light on it all .
Where are you from as if your local to Cornwall then you can call in and we will help you out ,if not like said a simple phone call will help
yours

Welcome to the hobby!
In essence, yes thats all the 'major' kit you need to get you going.
I think it's fair to say that when starting out, the one purchase you want to get right first time is the skimmer. Don't skimp on it, you're better off buying a used one of a larger/better model than a cheaper/smaller new one. I can recommend Deltec, Schuran and Tunze skimmers, tho the TMC V2 skimmers are also very good providing the standard feed pump is replaced with something like an Eheim.
I guess the other bit of advise we gould give you is ask before you buy!
Cheers
Chris

Welcome to the forum
as already said it depends what you wish to keep
best advice is to always ask first and try not to buy stock on impulse
