Hi all, does anybody know if there is a maximum flow and c02 rate for the above reactor?.Its going on a lrg system so will need to perform at its upper end of performance.

hi m8
is this a non fluidisng one as the deltec ones tend to be 'pf' the f meaning fluidising.ive only had experience of the fluidising ones using rowalith c+ which can be run fairly hard.when run with solenoid valve and ph controller the co2 rate is set to maintain a desired level within the reactor,i run down to a ph of 6 with no problems.as regards to flow through the reactor, again its a supply and demand situation to match tank requirements.a large tank full of acros will have a large demand and the reactor needs to be suitably sized.the latest pf 601 is rated for 300 gallon systems up to 444 gallons if heavily stocked whilst the pf601s is rated 425 gallons up to 555 gallons heavily stocked.dont know if that helps because you might be referring to a different/older type reactor.

Thanks Simon, the reactor is Bombers old one which now belongs to Cass,i think its going to be too small in the end but will help with his dkh and calcium demands for now.Ive not run this calcium reactor up to now and was not sure how to run it other than the standard settings.

The P600 is a fluidised reactor but works better with bigger reef bones media rather than the C+ media because it does not have the holding plate at the bottom of the reactor like the PF version's, I only ran it at 50 ml a min when it was on my tank but what I would do is run the reactor at 50 ml a min at a good dkh and then just keep turning the ml a min and bubble rate up gradually in increments over a a few days until you get a stable reading in the tank or a decrease of dkh coming out of the reactor which would indicate the reactor at it's limit with to much flow going through it.

At 50ml a min and 2 bubbles a second mine use to give me between 35-40 dkh out of the reactor

I will come down soon Lind's, I have been so busy at work recently I just don't have time for much else :)
