Hi all, came down this morning only to find 1 clown in the tank, at first we thought it was hiding but then remembered that it might have jumped. This is the 4th pair we have had, just wondering if there is any way of stopping them jumping (covering the top of the tank) or is it just a thing they do? All the other tank mates are all ok and the water is tip top. Dont want to cover the tank coz i think it might stop the goodness of the light coming through.

Any answers would be great.

Cheers
Joey

Just had a reply on another forum and they said to try fine pond netting on a frame. Do you guys think this will work or will my lights melt the netting?

I've got a pair of breeding tomatoe clowns that I've had for several years they've never made a leap!
I'm going to move them on if your interested, looking to stock with smaller fish like gobies etc!

Clowns do jump sometimes when they give chase during pairing. Ive seen this happen alot and the best way to deal with it is the way you describe
