A few days ago I bought a banana wrasse from the LFS and as soon as it was introduced it pulled a dissapearing act.

This was normal, I read, and it probably buried itself in the sand somewhere. It came out today (the first time I have seen it) and the yellow chased it all about the tank until it went into hiding again. Is this normal behaviour and will it eventually settle down?

I hope they do as they are both lovely specimens and I don't want to lose either.

Thanks

I'm sure it'll be fine. Wrasse can often appear to hide for days on end, we have one that we only see for rarely more than a minute once or twice a week. I would imagine it's a case of the YT not seeing it very often so it hasn't fully accepted it as a non-threat just yet. Give it time and make sure it doesn't jump.
